Closing out Day 5

Today was a little rough...I had a hard time getting the right kind of food. Eating is such a chore

  1. Hey Brent! Looking good for day 5! I am on day 11 and still finding it hard to eat. Everything basically has to be thin enough to go through a syringe because even though I can take off my bands I still cannot open my mouth more than like half a centimeter. I hope it gets better for you though! And I wish you luck with your recovery!

  2. Wow, you look awesome for day 5, and the new profile is fantastic!
As for food, I got to the point where I was so hungry I didn't care anymore about how "gross" it sounded. I blended up some chicken and it was some of the best I'd ever "eaten" lol. Just look up "how to puree chicken" or beef or whatever. It usually takes you to baby food sites. Steak is tough to get right so I recommend starting with chicken. I hope this helps, and really it's quite tasty!

  3. You look wonderful. You don't seem to have much swelling and your profile looks brilliant. I'd recommend cheesy mashed potato with a little mince in it. I've just had some now and it was delicious! Yoghurt is also nice I find because it helps settle your tummy after all the meds! Wishing you a happy recovery. :)

  5. Looking great, Brent! All I did those first days was focus on feeding myself, it takes forever, I know! I love to eat so I made sure I figured it out! I ate oatmeal for breakfast, for lunch i'd have a yogurt or smoothie, and for dinner i'd take literally whatever I wanted....lasagna, buritto, mac n cheese, asian noodles dishes, etc and would blend it with enough hot chicken broth to get a nice chopped consistency. Actually was tasty!!! :)
